WonderPhil has worked hard to adjust his popular magic shows to suit social distancing needs. After performing hundreds of engagint Zoom shows, transitioning to a socially distanced in-person show was actually quite easy, and the end result is very similar to the show that's made WonderPhil one of the busiest kids entertainers in Canada.
Yes, WonderPhil is double vaccinated.
The socially distanced magic show is designed to keep the kids engaged and interacting, while staying in their seats. Volunteers aren't called up to hold props or get too close. Instead, more and more group interactions have been built into the show, and so you'll find the kids helping make the magic happen as a group. They'll be calling out to help WonderPhil spot the things he didn't notice, correct is always-silly mistakes, and more.
The birthday child is the exception. Each client has an option for how they'd like to proceed when it comes to the birthday child's involvement in the show. The birthday child can volunteer from their spot, keeping their distance, or they can help out "on stage." When the birthday child helps directly in the show, WonderPhil will still do his best to keep distance where possible. Moreso, the client can decide if the volunteering birthday child will handle props, or help out in other ways.
Props are santized before and after each performance. Other than the birthday child, kids don't come in contact with the props anyway. As noted above, the client can decide whether the birthday child will handle props at all. (Props being handled by the birthday child usually include metal rings, a plastic wand, and a ball, though the content of each show does occasionally change.
Where required, or when requested, WonderPhil will wear a mask during the show. Some clients, for example, ask that a mask be worn while the birthday child is next to him and helping out during the show.
